In the winter term 2022/23 the Ringvorlesung will be conducted in English.

Participant Information
The participants in this program will become acquainted with current methods to analyze complex problems in sustainability science and their impact in our society. Special attention will be payed to quantitative modeling and predictions.
From the perspective of different applications
- they will learn about current modeling strategies,
- they will be introduced to handling data and statistics, and
- their use to develop and evaluate action plans.
The Ringvorlesung can be taken as
- non-physics elective (Wahlpflichtmodul) in the Physics Bachelor- and Masters-Programs (German and IPSP)
- elective in other study programs at the Universität Leipzig (on request to the appropriate examining board)

- All participants of the course must chair at least one session.

Practice seminar
There are also in two Practice seminars (as a workshop) augmenting the course. The participation in the Practice seminars is compulsory for participants that follow the module 12-PHY-BMWBNE1.
The first Practice seminar (workshop) will take place on Saturday, 5 November 2022 from 9:30 till about 5pm. Please confirm your participation by sending an email to me, adding your name in the List of Participants, or leaving a comment on the page for the course participants.
The second Practice seminar (workshop) is anticipated to take place on Saturday/Sunday, 4–5 March 2023.
Final arrangements will be discussed during the first workshop.
