Many-Body Theory

Many-Body Theory is useful in many branches of physics, such as condensed matter physics and nuclear physics. This course provides an introduction for physicists and mathematicians. Modern techniques will be covered, as well as some applications to condensed matter physics.

Prerequisites.   Quantum Theory; Fundamentals of Statistical Mechanics.

Time and Place.   Monday 11-12:30, large seminar room; Wednesday 11-12:30, small seminar room; at the Institute for Theoretical Physics,
vor dem Hospitaltore 1   (at Ostplatz; building no. 34 on this map).

The Course starts on Monday, April 4, 2005.

Exercises.   There will be exercises accompanying the course, in which examples and supplementary topics will be discussed.
Time and Place.   Monday 13:30-15, large seminar room of the ITP,
starting April 11.
