Post-Doc Vacancies

2 EU funded Post-Doc vacancies (2 years each) at the University of Leipzig, Germany, in the project:

Two-Dimensional Magnetic Systems with Anisotropy

Two postdoc positions for research on 2D quantum magnets in the computational physics group at University of Leipzig, Germany:

Applicants are sought to fill two postdoctoral research positions in the computational physics theory group at the University of Leipzig, Germany, to work on a European Community funded project concerned with calculating thermodynamic properties of two-dimensional magnetic systems with anisotropy using quantum Monte Carlo computer simulation techniques. See

for more information.

Researchers with a Ph.D. in statistical physics or condensed matter theory are encouraged to apply, particularly those with experience in computer simulations of quantum systems. Both positions are for two years, the first starting in early 2003. For the second position, starting in 2004, additional research competence in dissipative quantum systems is required.

At least the first of the two positions is immediately available. For both positions the usual EU conditions (age, nationality, etc.) apply. The deadline for applications is set to April 15, 2003, but early applications are encouraged. Interested candidates should send a CV summarizing research interests and experience, a list of publications and should arrange to have three letters of references sent to:

High-Temperature Series Analyses for Random-Bond Models and Spin Glasses

Postdoc position for research on high-temperature series expansions in the computational physics group at University of Leipzig, Germany:

Applicants are sought to fill one postdoctoral research position in the computational physics group at the University of Leipzig, Germany, to work on a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on high-temperature series generation and analysis for random-bond models and spin glasses.

Researchers with a Ph.D. in statistical physics or condensed matter theory are encouraged to apply. _No_ other formal conditions (age, nationality, etc.) apply. The position is immediately available and early applications are encouraged. Interested candidates should send a CV summarizing research interests and experience, a list of publications and should arrange to have three letters of references sent to:
