About

I am currently a PhD-student in the CQT group of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Leipzig.
Previously I wrote my master-thesis about the simulation of polymer collapse using lattice polymer models under the supervision of Suman Majumder.
My bachelor-thesis dealt with the simulation of stochastic transport processes with open boundaries and was supervised by Hannes Nagel.

An easy to use implementation of the (in computational physics) extensively used Mersenne Twister pseudo random-number generator can be found here
There exist faster implementations, but you do not (really) need to use them for these exercises.
